Enemies to Lovers, but it’s you and your body.
but what does that mean in real life? how does one simply, live?
live with the ‘iNcOnSiStEnCiEs,’ the dynamics of difference, the crescendos, the decrescendos, the messiness of it all? How do we flow in and out of the different archetypes that make up who we are? How do we anticipate and accommodate changes in our capacity? what’s happening neurologically, when our luteal brains explode?

You know better than to think Biology did you dirty by making you so freaking different from week to week.
But you’re not sure what you’re body is really asking of you.
And maybe your heads gotten kinda full of some cycle syncing scaremongering- you better not have a second cup of coffee or god forbid a manhattan when you’re luteal! you better not skip that HIIT workout when you’re ovulating? You better not let me catch you drinking coffee on an empty stomach, or you are banned from matcha, banned from pilates, and exiled to Unhealthy Girl Land. and while we’re at it you’re outfit is not matching lycra enough.
ahem. yeah. fuck allllllll the way off with that shit.
whether it’s your hairy armpits poking out of your ancient black cutoff teeshirt, your gender nonconformity, your feeling too discombobulated or overstimulated to keep track of it all, or just your capacity for critical thinking, something made you feel like the pop culture cycle syncing discourse on the internet wasn’t quite for you.
If you’re looking to…
-
If your cycle is ‘normal and healthy.’ Or if you’re going to cry at work next week, or is it the week after? What the heck you should be eating and when you should be going to the gym, and when you’ll be kicking yourself for making all the plans, and ready to fake your own death to get out of social commitments….
-
Embracing and designing for the more sensitive times, feeling good in the times that feel good without kicking yourself for the days you don’t, and synchronizing your creativity, leadership, and spirituality to your biological reality.
-
When fully expressed, the menstrual cycle grants us access to something of… what it’s like to be the land moving through the seasons, to be an ecology attuned to a wider ecology, cycling through all the beauty and pain of a life fully lived immersed with a living world.

We begin Sept 28th. I’d love for you to be there.
I’m Kate.
II’m a Registered Nurse, a Certified Childbirth Educator, a Craniosacral Therapist, a writer, and a menstrual cycle victim turned enthusiast.
My experience of knock-down, drag-out burnout (I was a new grad nurse in 2020) brought me to luteal hell. My brain was broken. I left every 12 hour shift feeling like a had a low-grade fever. And the luteal phase was like watching a horror movie. I’d go on a run to try to clear my head and just be sobbing doing laps around the duck pond at the park. It was bad bad.
I listened to Maisie Hill’s book, Period Power, and it kinda changed everything. First of all, I felt interested in something, for the first time in a long time. And then, I had that ‘ohhhhh fuck’ sinking feeling in my stomach, running back every tearful, out-of-the-blue breakup, every crashout “I QUIT,”, or every time I moved to a new continent/across the country to avoid a relationship that had gone sideways.
a long and multi-pronged approach (meds! therapy! switching my job! coaching! exercise! bodywork!) got me feeling better over the next few years. But the biggest thing and the lens that will never leave me, is the understanding of the menstrual cycle.
It became a lens through which I view my self and my days, and it radically shifted my understanding of who i am.
